Shokoufeh Shahrabi Farahani

Dr. Shahrabi-Farahani received her DDS Degree and Master of Science Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from the Dental School of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Health Services. She served as an Assistant professor and Director in the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Department of Dental School of Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences, Yazd, Iran in 1999-2008. She continued her education in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Biology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts and became Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in 2012 and received her Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) Degree in Oral Biology in 2013. Dr. Shahrabi-Farahani immediately joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences. Currently, she is Associate Professor and Director at UTHSC, College of Dentistry and co-editor, editorial board member, and reviewer in several pathology and dermatology journals. She has published some papers and her research interest focuses on vascular biology, oral cancer and angiogenesis, histopathologic aspects of cosmetic dermal fillers, salivary gland, and soft tissue/bone pathology.
