Dr. Kathleen Higgins

Dr. Kathleen Higgins is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Following graduation from dental school, she completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial pathology at New York Presbyterian Queens. She then pursued fellowship training in Head and Neck Pathology at the University of Chicago, which she completed in 2021. Dr. Higgins is currently a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. 

 

At the University of Oklahoma, she participates in an active oral pathology biopsy service and manages clinical oral pathology patients. Her teaching responsibilities span undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate courses directed at dental hygiene and dental students, as well dental and medical residents.
